Located in the heart of bustling, scenic Ambleside at the head of England's largest lake – Windermere and right next to the famous Bridge House, we are perfectly placed for mountain biking or walking straight from the door. We're minutes from the start of the popular Fairfield Horseshoe and the less demanding (but no less rewarding, Wansfell) we've also got a drying room and cycle store. We're in easy reach of Ambleside’s many real ale pubs and excellent restaurants to say nothing of the outdoor shops! For Beatrix Potter fans the rooms are converted from the offices of Gatey Heelis – her husband’s solicitors firm – and she’s known to have been a regular visitor.
